Water desalination and swage water treatment with a new technology

Global Smart Solutions Group, in collaboration with research centers and other entities, manufactures various types of polymers used in industrial applications for treating industrial, agricultural, and swage water, and desalinating groundwater and seawater, away from the known traditional methods of water desalination.

The idea revolves around solving problems of water desalination plants, increasing their capacity, extracting and manufacturing valuable salts, and achieving suitable returns. The problems of water desalination plants are summarized in:

  • A large amount of brine solution that is difficult to dispose of.
  • Limited percentage of produced fresh water compared to the total quantity treated.
  • High consumption of energy.

The work theory relies on the phenomenon of chemical-mechanical precipitation, which involves studying and analyzing the targeted water (well water, seawater, etc.) and determining the chemical composition of all elements and compounds present in the water. Then, determining the method of dealing with each compound and forming a group of multi-reactive polymers to break down complex compounds and convert them into elements and deposit them in the form of compounds beneficial to the soil that can be mechanically separated.

The objectives are:

  • Minimizing the negative impact on the environment.
  • Increasing the quantity of produced fresh water to reach 90% of the total water used.
  • Extracting valuable salts and materials from the brine solution.
